White Screen is a collection of simple screen tools you can use directly in your browser. Open a tool when you need a plain color, want to look at your display, need a visual background, or would like a timer or screensaver on screen. There is no account to create, nothing to install, and no payment to use the tools.

These tests are visual aids, not calibrated measurements, professional diagnostics or repairs. What you see can depend on your display, browser, settings and viewing conditions. If a test raises a concern, it may help you decide whether to investigate further, but it cannot confirm the cause of a display issue.

Screensavers and visual demonstrations

Turn a browser tab into an animated or timekeeping display with options such as the DVD Logo Screensaver or Digital Clock Screensaver. White Screen also includes clearly labeled demonstrations, including simulated update screens, a fictional video-call scene, a no-signal display and a hacker-style screen.

These simulators are visual scenes only. They do not update or otherwise change your device, access your accounts, or request permissions, credentials or payments. Use them as props for a presentation, video, screenshot or harmless joke—not to mislead, pressure or defraud someone.

Backgrounds, timers and lighting

Create downloadable images with tools such as the Solid Color Background Generator and Wallpaper Maker. You can also use a countdown, stopwatch or Pomodoro timer, or open a fullscreen reading light or screen flashlight. These tools are intended to be straightforward and useful without a separate app.

How the site works

White Screen is built around browser-based use. You do not need to register, install software or pay to use its tools. An offline service worker can cache public pages and site files so tools may open without a connection.
