Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
White Screen offers free browser-based tools, including color screens, monitor test patterns, screensavers, simulators, background generators, timers, and lighting tools. This policy explains what information may be handled when you visit the site and what choices you have.
Summary
- The tools run in your browser. Colors, patterns, animations, timers, and generated images are created on your device; images are not uploaded.
- You do not need an account, and there is no registration, payment, or software installation.
- The site uses two technical, first-party cookies and stores a small set of preferences in your browser.
- Optional, aggregate analytics is currently switched off. It runs only after you explicitly allow it.
- White Screen has no ads and does not sell or share data for marketing.
Information we do not collect through the tools
Text you enter into tools, such as focus task labels or wallpaper text, stays on your device. Tool-created images are also made on your device and are not uploaded to White Screen. Simulators—including fake updates, the hacker screen, video call, and no signal screens—are labeled demonstrations. They do not change your device or request permissions, credentials, or payments.
Visitors do not need an account. There is no public registration or payment system. Admin accounts exist only for the people who manage site content.
Cookies and browser storage
White Screen uses these technical, first-party cookies:
- XSRF-TOKEN: a security token that helps protect forms against cross-site request forgery.
- Session cookie: helps keep the visit secure and remembers consent choices.
These are not advertising, tracking, or social media cookies.
White Screen also uses localStorage in your browser to remember:
- Your theme choice: light, dark, or system.
- Recently used tools.
- Timer duration preferences.
- Your analytics consent choice.
This information is stored on your device. You can clear cookies and localStorage through your browser settings. Clearing them may remove saved preferences or mean you need to make choices again.
Offline service worker
An offline service worker can cache public pages and site files so tools may open when you do not have an internet connection. It does not cache admin pages. The cached files are used to support site access, not to build a profile about you. You can manage or clear site data, including cached files, through your browser settings.
Optional analytics
Analytics is optional, first-party, and aggregate only. If enabled, it is intended to count activity such as daily tool opens and similar events. It runs only after you explicitly allow it, respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, and does not record IP addresses, visitor identifiers, typed text, or images.
Analytics is currently switched off. Your analytics consent choice is stored in localStorage on your device. You can clear that choice in your browser settings. If analytics is offered and you have allowed it, you can change your choice using the available consent controls, if provided.
Server logs
The hosting server may keep standard access logs for security and troubleshooting. These may include information such as your IP address, the time of a request, and the page requested. The logs are not used for profiling or advertising.
Third parties and sharing
White Screen does not run ads, use external fonts or tracking scripts, or sell or share data for marketing. The site owner may use AI tools to help write site content, but visitor data is never sent to those tools. The site’s hosting server processes requests to deliver pages and may keep the standard logs described above.
Children
White Screen is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the site, please contact us so the concern can be reviewed.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to allow optional analytics when that choice is presented. Analytics is currently switched off.
- You can clear cookies, localStorage, and cached site data using your browser settings.
- You can use your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting; optional analytics respects these signals.
- You can choose not to use the site or any particular tool.
Because the tools run in your browser, settings that you clear may need to be selected again. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser’s own help information for instructions.
Changes to this policy
White Screen may update this policy if the site or its practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Please review this page from time to time for the current information.
