This browser tool can help anyone who wants a clear, even color across a monitor, laptop, tablet, or phone. Before starting, set the display brightness to a comfortable level and make sure the screen is easy to view; the solid fill makes visual differences easier to notice.
How to use Cyan Screen
- Keep the default #00FFFF color, or choose another preset under Quick colors. To make a custom shade, use Choose a custom color, Color picker, or the HEX, RGB, and HSL controls, including Hue, Saturation, and Lightness.
- Select Fullscreen for a larger color-only view. Use Exit fullscreen to return to the page.
- To wipe the display, select Cleaning mode. Touches are ignored in this mode; press and hold for 2 seconds to exit.
- For a different on-screen appearance, adjust Screen light, Display brightness, Warmth, or the Ring light frame and Frame width controls. The Sleep timer options are Off, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min.
- To save a color image, select an Image format and Resolution, or enter Width (px) and Height (px) under Custom dimensions. Select Download image. Use Copy HEX, Share color, or Copy value manually if you need the color value instead.
When to use it
- Check a display before a return window closes: Look for an off-tint dot that may stand out when green and blue subpixels are lit together. This is a visual check, not a diagnosis.
- Clean a laptop or phone screen: Cleaning mode keeps touches from changing the page while you wipe the surface.
- Add a cool accent light: Use the screen as a temporary light source near a desk, shelf, or workspace.
- Preview a cyan background: Fill a monitor with a flat color while arranging a photo, video, or other visual setup.
- Create a solid-color image: Download a cyan file for use as a background in another app or project.
- Use a simple focus backdrop: Keep a single color on-screen when a busy desktop or browser page would be distracting.
- Compare basic display colors: Switch to Green or Blue from Quick colors if you want to look at those colors individually; for a more guided check, use the Dead Pixel Test.
Tips for a useful Cyan Screen check
Scan the display from different viewing positions and look for dots or patches that differ from the surrounding color. A visible difference can be a reason to investigate further, but it does not establish what caused the issue. For an initial check on a new screen, repeat the observation under ordinary viewing conditions before contacting the seller or manufacturer.
If the color looks too bright or warm for use as a light, adjust Screen light, Display brightness, and Warmth to suit the situation. These adjustments change the way the page looks; the HEX value and downloaded images stay exact. Quick colors are useful for returning to Cyan after comparing another preset.
When exporting, choose a preset size or Custom dimensions to match the intended use. The tool supports PNG, JPEG, and WEBP, with custom width and height from 16 to 8192 pixels per side and a maximum of 33,177,600 pixels total. Images stay in your browser. 8K exports need substantial memory and may fail on some devices.
Limits of the Cyan Screen
A browser color fill can help you spot a visible difference, but it cannot confirm whether a pixel or subpixel is faulty, repair it, or measure display quality. The result also depends on the screen and its current display settings, so the same color may look different on different devices.
Use a dedicated display test when you need a broader set of patterns, or contact the manufacturer or a repair professional if you need a hardware assessment. For accurate color calibration, a colorimeter or other calibration device is a better choice than judging a browser screen by eye.
