The preset uses the color #F5F5DC, a warm off-white that can feel less stark than a bright white screen. It may suit people setting up a calm photo or video background, or anyone who wants a softly colored screen nearby while working.
How to use Beige Screen
- Open Beige Screen to show the preset color. Select Fullscreen for a color-only view; select Exit fullscreen to return.
- To clean your display, select Cleaning mode. Touches are ignored while it is active; press and hold for 2 seconds to exit.
- For a different color, choose one of the Quick colors, or use Choose a custom color. The Color picker offers HEX, RGB, and HSL values, along with Hue, Saturation, and Lightness controls.
- Use Copy HEX to copy the displayed color value, Share color to share it, or Reset to return to the preset.
- To save a background, go to Download a solid-color image. Select an Image format and Resolution, or choose Custom dimensions and enter Width (px) and Height (px), then select Download image.
When to use it
- Cleaning a display: Turn on Cleaning mode before wiping the screen so touches do not interrupt the display.
- Creating a warm photo backdrop: Show the solid beige color behind a subject or use a downloaded image as a simple background.
- Setting up a video background: Use the uniform color as a quieter visual background when a plain warm tone fits the scene.
- Adding gentle screen light: Keep the beige display nearby as a softer-looking alternative to a bright white screen.
- Choosing a background for documents: Save a beige image if you want a consistent, understated color behind content.
- Checking for obvious pixel irregularities: Look over the solid color for pixels that stand out, then use the more targeted Dead Pixel Test if you need to inspect individual pixels across colors.
- Comparing a neutral tone: Switch among Beige and the other Quick colors to see which solid background suits your display or task.
Tips for using Beige Screen
For a temporary light or cleaning view, Fullscreen gives the display more of your attention. Under Screen light, use Display brightness and Warmth to change how the screen appears; these adjustments do not change the HEX value or downloaded image. Ring light frame and Frame width let you set up the frame effect when you want the screen to act as a light.
The Sleep timer options are Off, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min. Choose a duration when you want fullscreen use to end after a set interval. For a precise color in another project, use Copy HEX or select the value through the Color picker.
For an image export, choose PNG, JPEG, or WEBP and a listed size such as Full HD or 4K UHD. Custom dimensions are useful when you need a particular canvas size; images are created in your browser.
Limits of Beige Screen
A solid color is a simple visual aid, not a professional monitor calibration or a hardware diagnosis. Beige can help you notice a conspicuous pixel that contrasts with the screen, but it is not a complete dead-pixel check; use a dedicated test with multiple colors for a more thorough look. Display brightness and color appearance also depend on your screen and its settings.
The displayed light may look different from the saved image because Screen light brightness and Warmth affect only the on-screen appearance. Image downloads are limited to 16–8192 pixels per side and 33,177,600 pixels total; 8K exports need substantial memory and may fail on some devices. For a broader set of display checks, try Monitor Test.
